ALL STAR GAME 2009 The OJAHL announced today that the league All Star games will be played on Sunday December 27, 2009 in Vaughan, Ontario. The Junior All Star game will start at 2:30pm and the Senior All Star game will begin at 7:00pm. As part of the OJAHL's mandate with regards to the promotion of their players, the league also announced the second Showcase Weekend event that will take place in Collingwood, Ontario from January 8-10, 2010. The Junior All Star game will consist of players aged 16 & 17 years old with the Senior game being a selection of 18, 19 & 20 year old players. The league will be divided into two teams for each game with players from Georgetown, Oakville, Mississauga, Milton, Bramalea, Brampton, & Buffalo to be selected to represent Team South/West and teams from Kingston, Trenton, Couchiching, Vaughan, Aurora, Villanova, Huntsville and Collingwood selected to represent Team North/East. Players for all teams will be announced on December 18, 2009. Coaching staffs for the Junior All Star Game were also announced, the staff from Couchiching will coach Team North/East and the staff from Oakville will coach Team South/West. Coaches for the Senior All Star Game for Team North/East will be from staff in Kingston and the staff from Georgetown will coach Team South/West. Tickets prices for the All Star Games are Adults $12.00 / Students and Seniors $8.00 / Child $5.00 Collingwood Showcase Weekend The league's second Showcase Weekend will take place the weekend of January 8-10, 2010 in Collingwood. All 15 teams will compete in the weekend event playing a total of two games that count towards league standings. A full schedule can be found on the OJAHL website at www.ojahl.pointstreaksites.com.
